A relic VII...

Argh... where am I?

Sorry, I haven't been feeling quite right.

Oh.

I see... It's still there!

Sorry, did I pass out again?

What time is it- what day is it?? Mmmm... that tastes fuzzy. My tongue? Someone's tongue.

I survived it, so it would appear... I can still feel the infernal thing from here, trapped as it is beneath the mirror.
I must contain it, I nearly have all of the necessary materials...

Did I go off again? It all went dark...

Oh dear, one of my eyes has stopped working again.

I must get up to bed.

I can still feel it- pulling at me.

O gods.

A Relic VI - Revelation!

Oh my.

I can see what it is now!

I was right!
I know what it is! It is-
 The Yellow Sign.

Aaah!
My heart pounds, and I can taste copper.
The mirror seems to be working... it's holding it in a state of confusion.
It sits, quiet, waiting.
But without the wards, this can only be temporary!
I can feel malice in it...

I was a fool! Why did I move it?
I must place it back where it lay... perhaps it will remain dormant until the rest is ready!
I can only hope...

A Relic V

The mirror is ready, and I have steeled myself to what must be done.

The correct mixture has been made, and the runes researched.

It awaits anointment...

It has taken well.
I can only hope this will be sufficient...

I shall use my faithful rubber gloves to move the Thing.
Sadly, I cannot cross my fingers in these!

I can feel it. On the shelf above, it waits.

Now I must wait, until the time is right... not long now- if my researches are accurate...

A Relic IV

I have it- I found the perfect mirror in a dark corner of a charity shop.
There it was, just what I was looking for.
Bought, and brought back.

I haven't unwrapped it yet. Not yet.

When I can... I'll put some pictures on.

I have to consult my recipe list now- the framewood needs anointing, and asap!

Bloody devil's juice!!

That's what this is, so beware!!

What, I hear you type? What is?

This! This is it! Be warned:-

 Argh!

Now, to be fair, there is nothing wrong with it, as it is, it is a very good wood dye, I have no problem in it as it is, but-

Unlike the rest of its peers, it misbehaves!
If I pour say, Dark Mahogany wood dye onto a cloth, it comes out, soaks into the cloth and is applied, nicely and without fuss. As do the others that I frequently apply- Light Oak, Antique Pine, Indian Rosewood- just fine and well behaved.
If I use Ebony... it soaks into the cloth, and is applied nicely and without fuss...then soaks through the cloth and down your hand.
It runs down the side of the spout and sits in the lip of the top. getting onto the fingers and all over the place.
In short, it seems to be much thinner than the rest of its kith and kin. It is much trickier to handle.!

It's not the brand- I use a lot of them, and they are all fine- but this one.

It's dark and mischievous.

You have been warned...

Bloody devil's juice.

A relic III

At last! The charms have started arriving. I don't know which ones will be effective.

I'm going to use them all.

I'm still loathe to move the... thing.

My researches indicate that I will still need a mirror; I don't yet know why.
It must be big enough for the object to sit on, and needs a boundary, like a fence. Copper or Iron are equally valid for this.
The charms can go onto the boundary.
Some sources recommend an Elder Sign - but which one? And how to arrange them?

I shall continue to find out more.
I will not move it yet, not until I have the mirror, at least...

A Relic II...

I can't take the waiting any longer- I can feel it lurking up there...
I've been doing some research, and it seems to be - sleeping.
I don't want to wake it... but I have to move it!
Where are my charms that I ordered from the East??

I'll try my trusty gloves-

So far, so good. I have it uncovered.

 What Is It?
I don't dare move it yet.

I can't move it yet. I need a mirror to begin with...

I'll post more when the packages arrive.
