A Relic II...

I can't take the waiting any longer- I can feel it lurking up there...
I've been doing some research, and it seems to be - sleeping.
I don't want to wake it... but I have to move it!
Where are my charms that I ordered from the East??

I'll try my trusty gloves-

So far, so good. I have it uncovered.

 What Is It?
I don't dare move it yet.

I can't move it yet. I need a mirror to begin with...

I'll post more when the packages arrive.

A Relic...

Lurking suspiciously at the rear- no, the front of one of the storeheaps in the Bloodshed*, this thing came to my notice today...

Relic Zero
It looks like it has been there for a long time. It looks like it's been somewhere for a long time...

Relic 1

Yes, that is mould. Nothing else has it...

I'll post more when I discover how to move it safely.

                              I wonder where it's from?

* The Bloodshed is where the wood gives up it's secrets...

So, how does it all work, this Chronopiracy?

Funny that you should ask that...

I have a picture that illustrates it all rather well.

Behold.
The chronolathe.

Note there are no hands involved!* The lathe makes the wand, finding the echo of the wand within, that corresponds with that original - located ...elsewhere.

So it's a sort of copying operation.
TPTB say that copying is piracy....
I say YARR!

hence, Chronopiracy!

*Trade secret. There may be many hands involved, There are.

Happy New Year! And One Wand.

There- I have said it. Now it needs to be true...

On a lighter note, I can let you see what has been keeping me busy for the run-up to the festive season!

I've had to keep this one under my hat, as it was a present.

The first wand, #1-

The box is waxed, lined with amethystine and marked with the recipient's initials.

Sealed for delivery, a faint scent of Frankincense may be detected upon opening.

A few sparks...
